European producers at the IBF: two Russian film companies for the first time at the International Book Forum

- Francoise Higson from Rosalind Ramsay Literary Scouting Agency, the agency that scouts the book market for Film 4, the English film company that is currently contributing to the production of The Lovely Bones, Peter Jackson’s new project based on the bestseller by Alice Sebold.
- Catherine Eccles from Anne Louise Fisher Associates, the agency scouting books for Heyday Films, production company for the Harry Potter saga.
- Isabelle Fauvel from Initiative Film, the French company founded in 1993 and specializing in audiovisual project development on behalf of film industry professionals: producers, script writers, directors, actors and artists agents.
- Julian Friedmann, from the English agency Blake Friedmann Associates. Among the clients of the agency is South African writer Marlene van Nieckerk. Her book Triomf was recently adapted for the screen.
- Toine Rongen, from the Dutch film company Fu Works, currently working on the production of Tiza (to be released in 2010), adapted from a novel by Arnon Grunberg.
- The German film company Constantin Film, currently working on a film based on the novel Summertime Blues by Julia Clark, will be represented at IBF by Martina Neumann.
- Tristan Goligher from The Bureau, the London-based film company that recently co-produced London River, premiered at the Berlin film festival, and Far North, based on a short story by Sara Maitland.
- Steffen Weihe, from Pegasus Agency, a German literary and talent agency representing several writers, screenwriters, actors and directors.
- Gerardine O’Flynn, formerly with the English company Film 4, is now working as a freelance producer.
