New scores for IBF
“It’s an excellent fair”, said Chris Goldberg, story editor at 20th Century Fox, about the IBF area inside the Book Fair. Also Don Laventhall, Motion Picture and Television rights agent at Harold Ober Associates, had a nice impression: “There is a lot of interesting work being done on the Italian publishing market”.
Furthermore, IBF has hosted some activities focused on the European independent production and publishing market, on new multi-platform distributive paths and on convergent co-productions, carried out with the Book Film Bridge collaboration.
The conference conducted by Don Laventhall, Maria B. Campbell (president of Maria B. Campbell Associates literary agency), Kylee Doust (literary and movie pictures agent) and Julian Friedman (joint managing director of Blake Friedman literary agency) was particularly interesting. They presented their own experiences to the packed spectators – mostly Italian and foreign publishers – offering them a real-life overview from the publishing, motion picture and audiovisual European and American market.
For three days, the IBF participants have been delighted with the gastronomic and wine services provided by GoAsti, an initiative of Consorzio Operatori Turistici Asti and Monferrato and Asti Province, who took care of the IBF Lounge area. The catering service proposed to the accredited professionals offered the best dishes and the excellence from Terre d’Asti, in cooperation with the Antica Grapperia Bosso, historical Piedmont reality that celebrated 120 years of tradition, introducing the Bosso Prize, awarded this year to the italian writer Giorgio Faletti.
