Conferences program 2011

A great number of conferences will animate the 10th IBF edition, from May 12 to May 14. Many subjects of topical interest for the publishing panorama will be discussed during the appointments held in IBF’s meeting room, conferences that will be able to satisfy the numerous curiosities of the operators of the field.
On Thursday 12 May at 12:00 am will take place the absolute not-to-miss presentation of 2011 latest novelty: the TFL Window which will be operative for the entire duration of the IBF – created with TorinoFilmLab – this window will allow all “rights managers” to talk over, with a professional story editor, the new publishing projects to present to the over 100 producers working in the TorinoFilmLab audiovisual circuit. An initiative which praises an extraordinary partnership with Industry Books of the International Rome Film Festival, the event that is organized by the Fondazione Cinema per Roma – in collaboration with the Associazione Calipso – under the patronage of AIE – Italian Publishers Association, ANICA – Italian Association of Cinematographic Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries and APT – Television Producers Association.
We will also be talking about rights during the following appointment Question time: publishing rights in the age of the Internet, which will be held on Thursday 12 May at 3:30 pm. The expert Giorgio Spedicato (Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Bologna, IT) will answer to any queries from the professional public.
We will than analyze the many different potential scenarios of the publishing world with Marketplace for digital publishing held on Thursday 12 May at 5.00 pm. Featuring  Raffaele Avanzini of Newton Compton Editori, Marco Ghezzi of Bookrepublic.it, Bruno Ruffilli of La Stampa (author of the column Mondo Mac) and Francesco Signor, the moderator, journalist of Panorama Economy.
Other conferences will also take place on Friday 13 May: Hybrid Tv and new “drives” for contents: new channels, new ways of fruition and new contents. Will this interaction leave any opportunities to the publishing field? This meeting will be held at 3:00 pm. Featuring Gabriele Gresta (Bipop/Digital Magics), Leonardo Chiariglione of Wimtv.it. and Bruno Ruffilli, journalist of La Stampa.
